The New Running Revolution

Last weekend we were lucky enough to be invited to the pre-launch of the new and completely revamped On Cloudsurfer 7 shoes, a model that bears no resemblance to its predecessor.

These shoes are being launched today, Thursday, and can already be found in our physical stores and online.

This event took place in Barcelona, at a venue they called On Clubhouse. The presentation consisted of two parts. The first was led by Jaime García Romo, Athletes Innovation Product Manager for the brand, who spoke about the OAC brand's elite team. In this initial contact, we were fortunate to meet one of Spain's current top athletes, Mario García Romo, and the Athlete Manager, María Ortega.

The second part of the presentation focused on the product, and the Cloudsurfer 7 has a lot to say. In addition to learning about the product and its main features, Philipp Hagel, Product Management Lead and Performance Running, gave us a little scoop by introducing the brand's most anticipated model that has not yet been released, the famous On Cloudboom Echo 3. Features

As can be seen at first glance, the On Cloudsurfer 7 has characteristics that distinguish it from other models of the brand; it is completely renovated. It has nothing to do with its previous version.

This model has been fully designed by computer, using the FEA method, the same system also used in F1. From the data obtained with this system, CloudTecPhase technology, the most important novelty of this model, has been developed. This technology, located in the midsole, offers greater stability and reactivity, favoring the transfer of weight from the heel to the toe in an organic way.

What do these Clouds do?

They compress as if dominoes were falling, providing very soft cushioning and smoother transitions. These Clouds are made with Helion foam, which helps achieve such a comfortable stride.

Unlike other models from the brand, the On Cloudsurfer 7 does not feature the famous Speedboard, making it a lighter shoe with fewer components.

The brand is committed to sustainability, which is why the upper of these shoes is dyed with Dope Dye, a process that uses 90% less water. Philipp commented that by using this method, they couldn't achieve striking colors, although we believe the launch colors are very successful.

The mesh is made from 100% recycled polyester, and they have eliminated plastic layers in the shoe, meaning this model contains 30% recycled materials.

The weight of the On Cloudsurfer 7 is approximately 245 g, and its profile is 32 mm at the back and 22 mm at the front, giving it a 10 mm drop.

For what type of runners?

These shoes are perfect for runners looking for a more comfortable model for daily runs, or for runners who want comfort in a race without aiming for high speeds.

The On Cloudsurfer 7 will be a great ally for neutral runners of medium to low weight, who run distances up to a marathon, and tend to land on their heels.

Feelings

The first sensation you get when putting on these shoes is comfort. The model adjusts perfectly to the foot and has perfect, very soft cushioning.

The Cloudsurfer helps you with every stride, thus favoring transitions and delaying muscle fatigue.
