¿Vivo para correr o corro para vivir?

Do I live to run, or do I run to live?

A runner begins to live when they tie their shoelaces.

The passion of my life begins by doing three things

A runner begins to live when they tie their shoelaces. They look up at the beginning of their daily route with its remaining kilometers. And they press their stopwatch as an internal alarm signal for their heart to start pumping more beats. From these first three big steps, we recognize that we are entering a special athletic dimension, a unique species.

With such restless and motivating feelings that it makes us follow a path in life where by practicing running we know that we will continue to grow as unstoppable souls. Souls that long to reach an infinity of magical moments both during and after each training session or race.

There are many motivations

This new sporting distinction can try to outrun our shadow, run as a couple, jog in a group, enjoy the solitude of the long-distance runner, or merge with music on longer outings. And we will also have the very pleasant moment of showering after the daily kilometer-long ordeal and internalizing.

And we will expand our satisfactions of knowing that the proposed goals have once again been met, no matter how small, large, difficult, or almost impossible they may be...

You can think, you can dream

There are many and varied moments of inspiration, satisfaction, and self-improvement that lengthening our stride provides us. We even get to imagine our dreams coming true or invent our own stories and tales as we traverse streets and stretches of roads with our legs.

With each step, we turn the pages of the book we are writing with our sweat and effort, and in which our thoughts take shape until they become the challenges that each runner sets for themselves.

There are many challenges to achieve

runner

We create personal stories as vivid and beautiful as: putting on a race bib for the first time and crossing the finish line. Being able to run non-stop as long as the body can endure. Training for a marathon. Enjoying the breeze and running on the beach feeling invincible. Conquering the highest peak of the town's mountain or going for a run without a watch, without pause but without rushing... All these nuances and details could perfectly fit into the life of running.

A source of personal growth, inexhaustible and rechargeable with the constant rhythm of passion that we direct towards a continuous circuit of kilometers. That route is marked with the goals that call us daily to start our body. First thing in the morning or after an intense workday, and in which going up or down the stairs at home, we are already visualizing ourselves.

Feeling our heart quicken, sensing that in a while we are going to ask our legs to accelerate and they will respond. This binomial of mental command and physical response has become the engine that makes us want to be more "runners", both in quantity and quality, and that makes us feel more identified with people we don't know, but we greet them with just an exchange of glances. And that can come to signify an act of belonging to the group.

"I also run, I enjoy, I am like you, I feel alive, I feel like a runner"

This could be a description and identification of all that being a "runner" means and entails for us. This new distinctive mark of athletes who constantly invade parks, streets, roads, forests, beaches, mountains to explore new adventures alone or in company with their kilometer-devouring instinct.

They share the same philosophy that makes them speak the same language that goes beyond distances and times. And it is totally oriented towards the pleasurable suffering that has already crossed the borders of a fleeting social movement to become a necessity.

A way of interpreting and advancing at every moment, dreaming, believing in ourselves to keep smiling and be happier running. We runners are very clear that we know how to make our body feel that it has woken up, moved, displaced, and won throughout this life we run.

Because when a runner is born, it's forever.

And the only thing they know is that they are going to start writing, designing, and living unique images, stories, and feelings for the long continuous vital race that awaits us...
