History of Nike's Most Iconic Sneaker
Who hasn't owned or desired a pair of Nike Air Max at some point? The answer is easy: EVERYONE ;). Today we want to pay tribute to the iconic sneaker par excellence in the sneaker world. We are going to tell some of its history on the occasion of Air Max Day.
What is Air Max Day #AirMaxDay?
It's a tribute to a shoe that made history, both for the brand and its fans. A date that has been celebrated since 2014, every March 26th.
It is normal and logical that a shoe with so much (or rather ALL of NIKE's history behind it) should have a "world day". This year marks the 30th anniversary of this perennial shoe.

To make it clear, let's go back to the origin: where did this shoe come from, which caused a revolution and made Nike revolutionize the market by exposing the famous AIR, according to many "sneaker freaks"?
Tinker Hatfield, vice president of creative content, and an architecture enthusiast, was inspired for his design by the Parisian Centre Pompidou. It is a building that generated controversy, as it displayed its internal structure, leaving more space inside.
Thus was born the famous "air bubble", which has remained to this day.
It wasn't just that it was innovative in a shoe, but it was something that went beyond the limits of imagination. Its launch caused an effect that not even Hatfield himself (who was aware that he was taking a big risk) could have imagined would become Nike's "prettiest girl."
The shoe of desire
You may like them more or less, but what is clear is that they are sneakers that never leave you indifferent.
As a "sneaker freak," I have quite a few, and my history with them could be described as the shoe of "desire." As a child, I dreamed of owning them. A dream that came true when both my brother and I were signed by Nike.
Since then, we could wear them with pride. Since then, we can't live without debuting a new pair of Nike Air Max every season.
Emblematic sneakers
It is said of this shoe that dance or even hip-hop could not be understood in the same way without them. Its creator, who assures that "all the shoes I design must have a story behind them. That's what conquers everyone," music has always accompanied this shoe. In fact, when they were presented, the song that played was the Beatles' Revolution, a historical and special milestone since over time the title proved right, marking the REVOLUTION in the world of sneakers.
Therefore, happy birthday to AIR MAX for its birthday and its world day. From here, we encourage everyone to go out on the street that day with our sneakers, showing them off as AIR MAX well deserve.
