Description of the new Adidas Boston 11

The Boston 11 is a universal benchmark for mixed shoes; in fact, they are considered the ultimate mixed shoes. Now, this 11th version continues with the same maximalist and somewhat retro look of version 10.

If you look at the outsole, you'll see three black pieces. These are the Energy Rods. Carbon rods that give the shoes their fantastic reactivity.

They are made for lighter and faster runners who seek reactivity, fast paces, lightness… And now with a bit more cushioning than usual.

This cushioning is more generous than in past versions and does not detract from either reactivity or fast running paces.

The Adizero Boston 11 are for runners and athletes with good running technique or who run with a midfoot strike. Lighter runners, up to 80 kg, will get the most out of them, especially on longer distances.

Main new features of the Adidas Boston 11

The upper is mainly composed of Engineered Mesh. It has also undergone remodelling that evokes a retro running aesthetic thanks to the classic suede reinforcement on the toe. We assume this is to provide an extra snug fit in that area so you can demand 100% from the shoes.

Midsole

The midsole consists of two superimposed layers of Lightstrike (the lower one) and Lightstrike Pro (the upper one). When combined, you feel light cushioning with optimal energy return with every stride.
.. These two technologies are clearly visible in two distinct pieces. In addition, the name Lightstrike Pro is written on the piece. The stride sensations they provide are different from BOOST, and it stands out that being lighter, it is more suitable for accelerating the pace at any time, obtaining a greater response.

Lightstrike is a thermoplastic polyurethane compound that does not expand as much as Boost pellets, but it is very reactive. It is also one of the lightest foams on the market (36% lighter than Boost).

The fact that there is no Boost in the midsole will surprise some. Because Lightstrike is lighter and, above all, more reactive.

Outsole

The outsole is made of Continental Rubber compound under the forefoot to give you the best traction. The different cuts create grooves that achieve total grip and phenomenal traction.

Sustainability

The Boston 11 are sustainable shoes made with Primegreen, high-performance recycled materials. The upper is made with at least 50% recycled materials.
