What does the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Madrid 2022 offer you?

The main event for Madrid runners is here, the queen of road races, the goal of every runner: the 42.195 meters in Madrid.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series Tour arrives in Madrid. The massive sporting, solidarity, recreational, and cultural event comprising more than 30 races, mostly marathons across America and Europe. It is approaching for the enjoyment of the public and runners in Spain, and its staging date is next APRIL 24 on the circuit from Plaza de Colón to Plaza de Neptuno.

Who can participate in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Madrid 2022?: All interested runners, over 18 years old, federated or not, without distinction of gender or nationality, can register to participate.

In this 44th Edition, the organization of an event that, like wine, improves with age, once again surpasses expectations.

More than 30,000 runners are expected to gather, ensuring a festive atmosphere that is hard to beat. The idea is simply brilliant. Combining the mythical and demanding race with 18 stages at street level where there will be live music that will make the effort of all runners along the route to the finish line more bearable. Urban concerts installed in key locations to maximally support the runners' effort.

In addition, a wide range of activities is prepared, starting with the Band Contest and the Photography Contest, as well as the activities that will take place at the "Expodepor" Sports Fair on April 22 and 23.

The route of the Madrid Marathon 2022

The route has changed a lot compared to the 2019 edition and you will be able to run invading the streets of the capital along with more than 33,000 people. This year the route of the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon will pass through the following emblematic places in Madrid:

-The Santiago Bernabeu football stadium.
-The Picasso Towers.
-The Four Towers of Chanmartín.
-The Moncloa Lighthouse.
-The University City.
-The surroundings of Parque del Oeste.
-The surroundings of the Amusement Park.
-The Almudena Cathedral.
-Here was the Vicente Calderón football field.
-Reina Sofía Art Center.
-Chanmartín train station.
-Prado Museum.
-And the Neptune Fountain right next to the finish line.

At what pace should you run to achieve your goal?

To finish in 3 hours: 4 min 15 secs / km.
If you want to finish in 3 and a half hours: 5 min / km.
To finish in 4 hours: 5 min 40 secs / km.
To finish in 4 and a half hours: 6 min 30 secs / km.
And to finish in 5 hours: 7 min 10 secs / km.
