Ponemos a prueba las Hoka Rocket X 3 en el Mile X

We tested the Hoka Rocket X 3 at the Mile X

Last Thursday, September 18th, we met with the Challenge Room training group in Murcia to test one of Hoka's most prominent competition models: the Rocket X 3.

This model is characterized by its great responsiveness and stability, achieved thanks to its PEBA foam divided into two parts and densities: a more elastic and less dense one in the metatarsal area, and a denser one in the rear area. Added to this is the carbon plate, which provides propulsion and efficiency in each stride.

With these characteristics of the Hoka Rocket X 3, it was essential to design an event that would allow us to maximize their performance.

Mile X: this is not a Social Run

Social Run and competition shoes don't mix. That's why we had to come up with an activity to push the Rocket X 3 to their limits, and that's what we did.

The starting point was the Challege Room training center, where we checked in all the runners. From there, we started warming up towards our Be Urban Running store, at Gran Vía Escultor Francisco Salzillo, 28.

Once at the store, it was time to put on our Hoka Rocket X 3 and the event T-shirt. With everything ready, we headed to the river to perform the three challenges we had prepared. Before starting, we performed running technique exercises and progressive drills to prepare our bodies.

It was time to test ourselves and the Rocket X 3, how were we going to do it? With a mile at our full capacity, with the aim of measuring both our abilities and the responsiveness of the Rocket X 3. And wow! no one held back, what paces we saw in this mile!

After this first challenge, we formed teams for the next test: the relay race. Each relay consisted of about 300 meters, and each runner ran a total of three. It was the perfect moment to experience the explosiveness and quick response of both the Rocket X 3 and the runners. In addition, everyone could feel how the carbon plate helped maintain propulsion in each stride.

The third activity combined teamwork and speed. All team members ran together, adapting the pace to the slowest runner. Every 300 meters, one runner stopped until only the last runner was left, who completed the last 300 meters at their maximum speed. With this last activity, we verified that the Rocket X 3 maintain stability and comfort even at high and prolonged paces.

After these three tests, we thought we had tested the shoes enough, it was time to share impressions over some pizzas and beers.

What were the main impressions?

Everyone shared the same opinion: the Hoka Rocket X 3 are very fast shoes, but what they really liked is that they are stable shoes that don't demand as much from you as other competition shoes.

After this experience, the Rocket X 3 have become a safe option for future competitions among the attendees.

As expected, you can find them at beurbanrunning.com and in our physical stores.
