226ERS High Fructose Gel 44g Strawberry Recovery

Each 80g gel provides 55g of carbohydrates and 250mg of sodium. In the 44g XS format, the carbohydrate intake is 30g with 140mg of sodium.

This formulation, based on multi-transportable carbohydrates, has been shown through various studies* to facilitate absorption in the intestine via different transporters. This feature represents an effective mechanism for increasing the rate of assimilation and oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates above 60g per hour*.

To this end, research confirms that it is highly recommended to combine carbohydrate sources such as maltodextrin and fructose.

MALTODEXTRIN:

Unlike glucose, it needs to be broken down, which translates into a more gradual and sustained energy source.

It has a high glycemic index, achieving a rapid increase in blood glucose without necessarily providing an excessively sweet taste that could end up saturating us in these types of products.

As it is a carbohydrate chain, it has a high molecular weight, which leads to a more contained osmolarity solution, favoring digestion and reducing possible gastrointestinal side effects.

FRUCTOSE:

Fructose is a monosaccharide, the simplest form in which we can find carbohydrates; by using a 1:0.8 ratio, based on the latest studies, it maximizes the oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates compared to other proportions.

The use of fructose in such a specific proportion is especially recommended for those athletes who exceed carbohydrate intakes of 60g/h.

Thanks to this, the combination of both, maltodextrin and fructose, allows for the digestion and assimilation of a high amount of carbohydrates per hour while minimizing the risk of suffering gastric problems.
