Nike Pegasus Premium, innovación hecha zapatilla

Nike Pegasus Premium, innovation made sneakers

Innovation has been present in the American brand since its beginnings, from when Bill Bowerman used a waffle iron to make the sole of some of the first running shoes, the incorporation of visible Air Zoom units in shoes like the Alphafly or Maxfly, to a complete visible Air Zoom unit across the entire midsole in its latest release, the Nike Pegasus Premium.

For Nike, this technology is one of the most important, it was in 2016 when they incorporated it into the first shoes, and it continues to be used today.

What makes these Nike Pegasus Premium special?

At first glance, we see that these Nike Pegasus Premium have a futuristic and innovative design; you only need to look at their full Air Zoom midsole.

For these shoes, they have used the complete kit in terms of midsole technologies: ZoomX, ReactX, and Air Zoom.

What do these compounds offer separately?

ZoomX foam is characterized by being a very light compound that will provide an extra boost of reactivity to these Pegasus Premium. This compound has been placed in the upper part, just above the Air Zoom unit.

While ReactX technology will provide stability, great cushioning, and durability. This is located in the heel area, below the Air Zoom unit. It should be noted that for its manufacture, this compound achieves a reduction in carbon footprint of at least 43% compared to the previous React.

Finally, we find the Air Zoom unit, this time complete and visible across the entire midsole. For Nike, it is their most reactive and durable technology they have ever manufactured.

Could we ask for anything more in a shoe? We think not.

For the upper, they have used an Engineered Mesh with greater support on the sides, thus providing more support and hold to the foot. The collar and tongue area come with generous padding to provide greater comfort to the foot and prevent chafing on the heel.

A very characteristic rubber sole in the American brand, with small lugs and leaving part of the Air Zoom visible; we understand that this is done to reduce the weight of the shoes a bit.

These Nike Pegasus Premium weigh 325 g in a US size 10 and have a 10 mm drop.
